Disclaimer

FreelancerMetrics publishes educational pricing tools. This page explains what those numbers are — and what they are not. Last updated August 4, 2026.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, tax, legal, accounting or investment advice. The calculators and guides are general information written for a broad audience and cannot account for your jurisdiction, business structure, contracts or personal circumstances. Before acting on a number here, check it with a qualified accountant or adviser in your country.

Estimates, not guarantees

Every result is an estimate produced from the inputs you enter and from general assumptions about billable hours, business costs and effective tax rates. Change one assumption and the output changes. We make no promise that a rate produced here will be accepted by a client, that it will be profitable, or that it reflects the market in your city or specialism.

Tax figures are illustrative

Tax examples use simplified, rounded effective rates for illustration. They are not current statutory rates for any specific country, state or filing status, and they ignore allowances, thresholds, social contributions and local rules. Use official tax authority guidance or your accountant for real filings.

Benchmarks and sources

Where a guide cites a benchmark, the source is named in that article's "Sources and methodology" section so you can verify it. Figures without a named source are illustrative examples drawn from the author's own pricing work, not survey data. External sources may update or move after publication.

No relationship, no liability

Using this site does not create a client, advisory or fiduciary relationship. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreelancerMetrics accepts no liability for decisions made or losses incurred in reliance on its content. Full terms are in the terms & conditions.

Affiliates and sponsorship

Guides are not sponsored, and rankings are never paid for. If a page ever contains an affiliate or sponsored link, it will be labelled clearly on that page.
